O.U.R. class is a bible study class, we meet in Room#202. We are studying to discover what we don’t know about God’s word and our goal is to deepen and enrich our belief. We have many lively discussions that often veer off course as we take what we have discovered and apply it to our everyday lives. This year we are reading and discussing the book of Job.
Youth Group: Chi Rho/C.Y.F (Christian Youth Fellowship)
The FCC Stow Youth Group is open to all youth in Sixth grade and up and their friends. We meet every other week on Sundays 12:15p.m.- 2:00p.m. Our theme for this year is “Keeping it R.E.A.L.-Relational, Experiential, Applicable, and Loving.” Through this theme we will explore ways to keep our faith REAL in all that we say and do; with all the people we cross paths with; and in how we live out the call to love all people.
Junior High youth (6th-8th grade) and High School youth (9th-12th grade) have the opportunity to attend ChiRho and C.Y.F. conference at Camp Christian for a week in July. A great opportunity for fellowship and fun! Contact Pastor Jonathan Rumburg for more information.
Monday Morning Study Group
We meet Monday mornings 10:45a.m.-11:45a.m. in the Library, Room#203. The Monday Morning Study Group is an informal group that watches video based content which is followed by discussion. This class is open to any and all who are interested in growing their faith, deepening their relationship with God, and engaging in meaningful dialogue with the pastor and others. And there is always plenty of coffee on hand!
We will be kicking off this new year of study with a familiar friend, a video series from Rev. Adam Hamilton entitled, “Half Truths: God Helps Those Who Help Themselves and Other Things the Bible Doesn’t Say.” They are simple phrases that sound Christian—like something you might find in the Bible. We’ve all heard these words. Maybe we’ve said them. They capture some element of truth, yet they often miss the point in important ways. So come check out this series that is sure to be enlightening!
Vacation Bible School
Children three years old through fifth grade join us for one week in July for Vacation Bible School. We study the lessons of the bible through story-telling, music, crafts, and recreation.
Camp Christian is our summer camp program for youths in grades 3-12. Many programs are also offered throughout the year for adults and college students. Located in Magnetic Springs, Ohio, it is a wonderful retreat and offers a beautiful and peaceful setting to renew and refresh your faith journey.
