Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name.  Thy

WE RECYCLE

We have small plastic bins at the exits of the sanctuary for your bulletin and inserts.  Please deposit your papers there as you leave and we will recycle them.  You may also bring your paper from home to the bin outside.  Thank you.

The child care room is available for babies and pre-school children from 9:30 until the end of our worship.  If you do not wish to have your kindergarten or younger children in church with you, they may go straight to the child care room.

Women’s Retreat News

Today, we will be having a meeting for all women who are attending the Women’s Retreat, in the sanctuary at 12:15.  If you have already signed up or want to sign up please plan on being at this meeting.  We will be giving room assignments and collecting money if you haven’t already paid.

We are very excited about the retreat and are looking forward to being Spiritually renewed and refreshed.  If you can drive to the retreat or if you have a preference of roommates please give me that information before the meeting.  For more information talk to Cheryl Delaney.

New Children’s Sunday School Class

The Christian Education team is excited to announce that we will be starting a new Sunday school class this fall.  It will be for third-fifth graders and will be taught by Lynn and John Fauvie.  They will be meeting in the Kingdom room (Junior Church room) during the Sunday school hour, 9:30-10:30.  John McCreight will continue to teach the Kindergarten-second graders and they will be meeting in the Israel room (the 4-year-old preschool room).

We are very excited about the addition of this class and hope that the parents of these children will bring them to Sunday school.  We also have adult classes which the parents can attend while their children are learning about our loving God and Jesus, our Lord.

This class will start on September 12, 2010.    If you have any questions about these classes please contact Cheryl Delaney, Lynn or John Fauvie, or John McCreight.

Music Notes

In my Father’s house, you will find a place

in the warm embrace of an open door.

In my Father’s house, leave the past behind,

come inside and find what you’re longing for.

In my Father’s house, pardoned from all sin,

free from what has been, life can start again.

In my Father’s house, prodigals come home,

no one walks alone—Come and enter in…

~ from “In My Father’s House,” by Craig Courtney and Pamela Martin

Name The Newsletter!

After months of working on, and reworking, and fine-tuning the new look and layout of our church’s newsletter we sent on August 25th a nearly finalized and finished rendition of this monthly newsletter.  Special thanks to all who have offered their input and thoughts on how we can make this newsletter more user friendly, informative, and cost efficient.

But the new newsletter is not done yet!  And your help is needed to get it done.  Since this will now be a monthly publication a new name is needed!  All are invited and encouraged to submit name suggestions for our church’s newsletter.  (And please do so because right now the leading contender is “Jonathan’s Journal of Rumburg Ramblings” and no one wants that!)

You may submit your name suggestions to the church office or by emailing Kathy.  The new name will be unveiled in the October newsletter.

Loaves and Fishes Update:

Last month we fed 49, an increase of 19 people – many who were first-time attendees.  The World Outreach Committee can’t thank you enough for all the help you have given us in this ministry.  August and September can be difficult months for families, since so much is needed when sending children back to school.

This month the Dinner will be held on Sunday, September 19th from 4pm – 6pm.  Please sign up today, if you know you can help – we need you.

God Bless,

Your World Outreach Team

Plans for the garage sale are moving right along. We need workers to help set up, work during the sale, take down, and pick up large items. If you can help, please contact Sue Vaughn 330-688 37199 or Dave Harlow 330-688 6520. Thank you, Dave Harlow
